NINETEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

September 20 & September 21, 2008

Welcome to the Lord’s house this day.  Guests are encouraged to introduce yourselves to Pastor Allison and Pastor Akers and complete the information in the Rite of Fellowship pad located on the pew in the Sanctuary. Large print services and assistive listening devices are available from the ushers or at the Welcome Center. For Pastoral Care please call Pastor Allison or Pastor Akers at the church or at home. A Sitting Room [in the east wing] and a Nursery [in the west wing] are available for infants through age three during each worship service. If little ones become restless during the service and are disturbing other worshipers, please take them out of the service until they have settled down. Thank you!  “The Lutheran Hour” can be heard every Sunday at 8:00 AM on WIOU 1350 AM, sponsored by Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

Thank you so much for all of the energy and passion and support all of you volunteers have given this school and our children!  What a future you are helping our young people to have. God bless you!

J FAMILY FRIENDLY IDEA

J Bring some things to occupy the younger children during the sermon - Some very young children will sit more quietly if they have a book, crayon and paper, or small toy, to occupy them. However, if these things become a distraction to you, don’t use them. With perseverance and consistency, young children can be trained to sit quietly through an entire service.

PRIMEUIMERS

The PrimeUimers’ December activity has been replaced this year and moved to November.  The Honeywell Theater in Wabash, IN. has scheduled the comedy play of “Church Basement Ladies” on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:00 PM.  This is a hilarious play portraying the activities of church ladies.  It has reviews of being very funny.  Some PrimeUimers have already signed up with Paul Bastaich and are already listed on the sign-up sheet.  A total of 50 reservations have been made.  You will have until October 1st to sign up.  Any seats left at that time will need to be turned back to the theater.  The cost is $23.00 per ticket.  There is a buffet dinner available at the theater prior to the play.  The buffet dinner costs $16.19, which includes beverage, tax and gratuity.  Please indicate on the sign-up sheet if you want dinner.  Show & dinner would cost $39.19 per ticket, check made payable to Paul Bastaich by Oct. 1st.
