Hebrews
11 is the great “faith chapter” of the Bible, pointing out that by faith the
saints of old lived their lives to the glory of God. By faith they were able to do great things
that demonstrated that God was at work in their lives. By faith we are also the children of God and
are equipped to do great things that give evidence that God is at work in
us. By faith we are sure of what we hope
for and certain of what we do not yet see.
That makes for joyful living!

FAMILY FRIENDLY IDEA
J Making the sign of the cross
means to draw an invisible cross on yourself during certain times of prayer or
worship. Take your thumb and two fingers
and hold them together. Next, touch your
forehead, then your tummy, then your left shoulder, then your right shoulder,
and finally your chest. At your baptism
the sign of the cross was first made upon you by your pastor. When we make the sign of the cross we are
reminded of our baptism.

ask that you sit in the back where an usher can easily get your attention
should you become needed in the nursery.
