Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Redeemer Lutheran Church is the proud sponsor of Cub Scout Troop 3506 and Boy Scout Troop 506.

Cub Scout Pack 3506 meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall/Gym.

Tigers is a 1 year program for 1st grade boys along with a parent or guardian. Tigers follow the Tiger book at home and work on projects as a group. They meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. with a Pack Meeting on the last Tuesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall. At each meeting a different Tiger Cub Scout and his family leads the meeting. Project ideas, songs and skits are outlined in the Tiger Resource Book.

Wolves is a 1 year program for 2nd grade boys. Wolves follow the Bobcat and Wolf Trails. Pack Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month and provide an opportunity for recognition and family fellowship. Outdoor programs highlight the year with Cubs enjoying Day & Cub Resident Camp.

Bears is a 1 year program for 3rd grade boys. Bears follow the Bear Trail. Outdoor programs are a highlight of the year with cubs enjoying Day Camp, Cub Resident Camp and Webelo Resident Camp.

Webelos is a 2 year program 4th and 5th grade boys. Webelos meet from 6 to 7:30 pm on Tuesdays. They follow the Webelo Book. They gather with the other cubs for the Pack Meeting.

Boy Scout Troop 506 is open to 11 year old boys or 6th graders and older. The Boy Scouts meet Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Over 30 Boy Scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout since Redeemer began sponsoring a boy scout in troop in the mid-1960's.
